H. J. Walters and H. 8. Fish have been nominated for tho Dunedin Mayoralty.;,
The Caledonian Hotel, Walker street, was destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The furniture and effects of the landlord' (Hutton) were insured lor £1000 in the Standard Office, and partly reinsured. The building, which was insured in the Standard Office for £500, was owned by Mr Ross.
