Last night. IThQ Late Boat Accident.
A separate inquest was held to-day on the bodies of the men drowned in the latj boat accident. Tho evidence given was that tho boat was rnfifc for a surf boat, and that owing to the weight of tLe gear on board, she snnk immediately after she waß filled. Tho unfortunate men drowned were seen floating on oars after the boat sunk, but Retting exhausted they sank. Tho jury returned a verdict of accidental drowning by the swamping of a boat, and added a rider that "in tho opinion of the jury the boat was unfit to proceed to tho Mokau." There is no sign of the steamer Wellington with the outward 'Frisco mail at 5 o'clock. Unless she b^owi up shortly, the Bratmer will be unable to go off to her, as ihe sea is making. Hew Plymouth will therefore lose her chance to send the English mails.
