AUCKLAND.

Last night

Tho Agricultural Show was an immense success, both as respects entries and attendance. A dinner took place in the evening. O«in« to the beautiful weather thousands of people left by steamer and rail. In tho evening the holiday was ce'ebratei by an entertainment in aid of the sick and accident fund of the Fire Brigade under the patronage of the Auckland Volunteers. The annual anniversary soiree (thy 37th) of the Auckland Total Abstinence Society was also held.

The German warship Heligoland remains for a few days and then leaves for Europe, via Singapore. The Auckland Volunteers returned from the Thames greatly pleased with their reception and visit.
