(fbom oub. own cobbespondent.)
Paeboa, 2 p.m. yesterday. A numerously sigued petition is being passed round requesting Councillor A. Porter to resign bis sent in the Thames County Council. A counter petition will be on foot directly, and I believe the balance will be in his favoi*. One thing is certain, the member who will please all sections of this community will have his work cut out.
All are n ell pleased the 10th of November is to be such a holiday on the Thames, and a good number of our No. 3 Scottish are sorry they cannot participate in the review, Major Murray having called in the clothing of all those members desiring to alter the name of tho company, thus nullifying their recent election of officers.
