Last night. A rublio Becspiion. A public reception will be given to Bishops Bedwood and Moore by the Catholics of the city. There will be an imposing ceremonial at the Catholic Church on Sunday next when the new organ will be opened. An attempt to bnrn down the drying Store of Mr Hales, St. Asaph street west, was made last night at about 20 minutes past 10, but a young man, Henry Mackay, was passing by nnd saw a barrelof tar on fire alongside tbe weather boards. Having called to his assistance a man who was passing they succeeded in putting the fire out. No further damage was done than the scorching of the walls. There is a large stock in t,he store, consisting of tents, sails, tarpaulins, nnd aailmaker's material generally. The barrel of tar had been rolled round from the yard, where ifc had been lying with others.
