WELLINGTON.
This day. Important Parliamentary.
Negotiations ponding . which may give the Government a majority.
A Dissolution probable.
Negotiations are going on between certain members of both sides of the House which are expected to be finally settled this afternoon.
Should arrangements be concluded as hoped. The Gorernment will have a majority, and the Premier in his statement will annouuee his readiness to go on with the want of confidence motion at once. If the negotiations terminated unsatisfactorily he will take the debate tomorrow, and if defeated, he will leave it to the party to decide whether the Ministry resign or go to the country. It is understood that there is no doubt that a dissolution will be granted. A Dangerous Frolic Frederick Smith was charged with personating a woman by wearing female attire. It appears it was the result of a stupid frolic. The Magistrate sentenced the prisoner to six hours' with hard labor, and a caution if the offence was repeated he would get a serious term of imprisonment.
