The United Service Gazette says:— " The term ' non-commissioned ' officers Will shortly be dispensed with. Sergeantmajors, sergeants, and corporals are to be called ' sub' officers. It is believed that by this a considerable sum will be saved in the War Office printing expenses." Lobd Westneath, who recently me* ceeded his father in the title and estates, has remitted one half-year's rent to his tenants on his estates in Galway and Roscommon. One man, who owed £2?4, and who had deep evicted, has boen reinstoad and his arrears remitted. Another tenant who has been sick for two. years' and paid no rent, had the *rrear» cancelled. _ '
