Wellington, This day. An Opposition meeting this morning was fully attended, and the mode of moving the want of confidence vote was fully discussed. It was finally resolved that the Hon. JT. Hall should move an amendment on the Address in Reply to the Governor's Speech immediately after being moved and seconded. The amendment is to affirm the readiness of the Hope to adopt the Liberal measures designed by the country, whilst intimating to the Governor that!they have no confidence in the Government as at present constituted.

McCaughan and J. B. White, as to whose views doubts have been expressed, attended the meeting, and gave in their adhesion, to the lino of action resolved upon. The Opposition are prepared to go on with the debate at once, and go to a division as early as possible ii order to save the time of the country. At a caucus of Government supporters today thirty-four were present and twelve were considered accounted for. It was unanimously resolved that the whole party support the Goverment in the'event of a want of confidence motion being tabled.

The meeting fasted barely half an hour.
