Last night.
There is great opposition on the part of the public to the Harbor Board's proposal to [send the Engineer Home, because the Board will not state to the public why it wants to send him Home. The Board is making the affair a great mystery, holding private meetings, from which the Press are excluded.
'I he Government declines to let Mr Bees leave the service, so his departure has been postponed till next month.
