Dr Henry's supporters are endeavoring to upset Fisher's election. They are raising the question of disqualification on the ground that Fisher holds a place of emolument under the Government; but such is said not to be the case, he having no appointment, although he receives rents for the Native Reserve Commissioner, for which he receives a commission.
