The fate of the British Embassy unknowns
General Roberts Advancing upon tho Mutineers. ,
Bombay, September 6.
A violent mutiny has broken oat among the troops at Cabal. The mutineers were joined by the inhabitants, and attacked and fired upon the British residency. 4 .
Tho Ameer Yakoob Khan, who did his utmost to quell the rebellion was beseiged in his palace. The fate of the British Embassy is unknown.
The British advance force at Sbnler
Gardan Pass tinder General Boberts, will immediately advance on Cabul, while General Stewart has been ordered to hold Kandahar, and the Kyber passes. Another force will operate from Jellalabad. .
