The Star has the following :—Several employees in the railway department yesterday received a notice signed by the general manager to the effecj that the necessary leave of absence would be accorded to all the employees wishing to record their votes at the forthcoming election, provided the necessary arrangements could be made for their relief. All hough the notice was dated September 2nd, the notices wero not received till yesterday. We leave to our readers to draw their own inference. The New Zealand Agricultural Com* pany has received advice that Sir Wm. Cunningham will arrive by the next 'Frisco mail, his mission being to report on the Company's properties as a field for immigration from England;
