A proclamation was signed yesterday by the Governor granting 2000 'acres' of land, as applied for by the Mayor, Mr W. McCnllough, as an endowment for the Borough of Thames.
The dispute re Water Supply has been settled through Mr Sheehan's interces* sion.
Sir George Grey has finally decided to stand for the Thames.
Mr Eowe has left via Nelson, at which place he is to inspect the mines.
Mr Sheehan visits the Thames on Wednesday to address the electors. Sir George Grey goes to Nelson on Sunday.
