Notwithstanding the nature of tbe amendment carried in the Committee of the Legislative Council, the Hon. Mr Dally informed the Council last night that it was the intention of the Government to proceed with the Land Amendment Bill. Sydney, Thursday. The Legislative Assembly last night voted an additional sum of £750,000 for the International Exhibition. The Legislative Council yesterday, in committee, made an important amend' ment in the Land Amendment Act. The Hon. Mr Daldy, representing the Government, intimated that he would have to consult his colleagues regarding the fate of the ; measure. . ■*■ ■ ■ Brisbane, This day.

The revenue for the quarter ending 30th June amounts to £401,000, being an increase as compared with the corresponding quarter of last year, but is £50,000 below the Treasurer's estimate.
