The Indian Government to have power to depute agents. 6th. The Ameer to guarantee the safety of the British Agents in Afghanistan. 7th. Telegraphic communication to be established between Cabul and Calcutta. ' Bth. The restoration to the 'Ameer of the territories occupied by the British Expeditionary Force, except certain possessions, which are to be treated as districts and assigned to India.

9th. The surplus revenue derived from these districts will be paid to the Ameer. 10th. The British Government to have the complete control over the native -.tribes in the Khyber and Meaneo passes. 11th. An annual subsidy of six lacs of rupees to be paid to the Ameer contingent upon his observance of the trf laty. . 12th.
