Contenary of Thomas Moore.
It may not be generaHy known that today is the poet Moore's centenary. Just one hundred years ago , to-day, on the 28th. May, 1779, was born the composer of the Irish melodies, so charming to the ear of every son of Erin, to whom, and all admirers of his brilliant music, a short biographical sketch of the poets life may not be uninteresting.
