. Melboubne, May 10. The eight-oared crew leave for Sydney to-day. The Governor has received a telegram from Sir Michael Hicks-Beach, stating that it is impossible for.the Prince of Wales to be present at' the opening of the Melbourne Exhibition, but he hopes to visit Australia shortly. The schooner Margaret Cheshel, from Melbourne, was wrecked on the North Beach, at Newcastle, and Captain Townsend was drowned. The crew were however saved. •
