Feed Vandebbilt, the youngest and favourite grandson of the old Commodore, wbo had a legacy of two million of dollars from his grandfather, has just signalised his coming of age by a runaway match with his cousin Louise Anthony, on the day of her diForce from Alfred Torrance. She was one the standing belles of New York, and at least twelve years older than her present husband. The marriage was a clandestine one, and was celebrated in a parlour of the Windsor Hotel on the day of the divorce; but it was kept a secret from the family, and the bridegroom continued to live in his father's house as usual until'the middle of last month when lie coolly handed him a newspaper containing the following announcement: "On Tuesday the 17th of December, 1878, Frederick "W. Vanderbilt to Louise Holmes, daughter of the late Charles L. Anthony." The explosion which followed can be better imagined than described, and is the talk of society in New York. William sVanderbilt declares that it is less trouble 'to manage three railroads than one aon. ' :
