Mi .J^?, '$*$ .?^®.^k were read confirmed, and the correspondence received was read by the -honorary ■ecretiry^" Mir" ffeanV ■! * 6ne fl letter 0 reajd was from Mr Plant, asking the Committee to' apply.^9 the Commissioners* in Wellington for the* sum of £30 to assist him in preparing some pottery for exhibition. It was decided to forward the letter to Wellington. The secretary was authorised to forward? ~a\ eircularU to all persons' whom :,it was thought could : furnish exhibits, and .also to advertise for competitive papers upon vthe district, its products and resources. .The Chair* i man reported that a number of; gentlemen had expressed to him their' intention to 1 supply exhibits, and the names of a nam-. ber"of others were mentioned who would likely contribute to the collection/ n !
