Ostriches are being acclimatised in South Australia. Several have laid eggs.
In the Melbourne Argus of a recent date we notice an advertisement of the Sale of 16,000 acres of the Waimate Plains land on the 6th of May next, over the signature of the N.Z. Commissioner of Crown Lands. Perhaps this sale will not come off; or perhaps it will be the vendors, and not the land that will be sold.
