NEW PLYMOUTH.
This day. Mr Sherwood, of Carlyle, who has just arrived by the Mountain Eoad, reports that a Maori has ordered the surveyors off the lands abutting on the eastern part of the Mountaiu Eoad, stating that the lands have not .been paid for by the Government. Efforts of fhis kind are creating considerable excitement here.
