At the sale of the Totara Estate, the 10,000-acre paddock was first submitted, cut up into farms. The lowest price realised was £13 per acre, and highest £31 lOs-per acre. The bulk of the land fetched £25 per acre. [At the above' rate the result will foot up to the enormous sum of £250,000 !-^Ed.] '
