Lieut.-Governor Sir Alfred Stephens, and Cols. Scratchley and Anderson inspected the Volunteer camp to-day. A parade took place and successful experiments were made with the torpedo vessel.

Sydney, April 15. London advices state that a meeting has been held at Newcastle-qn-Tyne, at which it was decided to send Elliott, the champion rower, to Sydney. Potatoes show a considerable advance. There' have been heavy arrivals of sugar.
