Friday. Final arrangement re billetting in connection with the volunteers expected from the North were made yesterday, and providing the weather holds up the demonstration is expected to be an unqualified success.
The Chamber of Commerce, in accordance with suggestions from the Dunedin Chamber of Commerce, determined to memorialise the Minister for Justice relative to amending the bankruptcy law. In conformity with the proposition of J. D. McDonald, of Invercargill, the Chamber also resolved to request Sir J.'Togel to represent the Invercargill Chamber at the conference of Chambers of Commerce proposed to be held in London.
