The signatory Powers to the Berlin Treaty have accepted in principle the suggestion for the mixed occupation of Boumelia, but Germany and France refuse to furnish contingents.

The money market is rather firm. The stock market is without noticeable alteration. Bank shares are depressed by the Oriental Bank statement. Debentures are quiet.

Wool of medium qualities commands the best rates. The lowest falls have been in superfine and inferior.

Sandiman's Camp, JBaghkana, was attacked; by 2000 of the, enemy, who were completely defeated, with a loss of 145. Our loss was rery small.

The Earl of Beacorisfield, in the House of Lords, said the inquiry by the Commission respecting the cause of the existing depression in British trade and agriculture would be resultless, but it was possible that another inquiry respecting the effects on trade, commerce, and production of the depreciation in the value of silrer, would be rendered neces^ sary after the report of the Commission on trade depression shall hare been laid before Parliament.
