ASHBURION.
This day
Mr Wason, member for Coleridge, addressed his constituents last night, and took for the text of his speech Sir George Grey's speech at the Thames. He denounced the Premier in strong terms for breaking all his promises and flattering the working men and Maories for political purposes. He opposed the land tax and elective Governor, and favored a general property tax and a system of national education. He received a vote of thanks.
