ASSESSMENT COURT.
BOBOUGH OF THAMES.
The annual Assessment Court of the Borough of Thames, for the purpose of hearing and determining objections to the Valuation 8011, was held at the Courthouse, Grahamstown, at noon to-day before Colonel Fraser, Judge. Frascr and Tinne, allotment and store, Beach road, assessed at £45. Excessive valuation. No appearance of objector. Valuation confirmed. Robert Stackpole, allotment and house, Burke street. Excessive valuation. No appearance of objector. Valuation con« firmed. James Ellis, allotment and house, Waiotahi, assessed at £4. Objected to on the ground that the house has been pulled down. Struck out. W. AveneH, paddock, Baillie street, assessed at £12. Not the occupier. J. P. Guthrie's name substituted as occupier. ' John Watson, allotment and drill shed, Pollen street, assessed at £26. Not the owner. Mrs M. J. Eae's name substituted. F. C. O'Dowd's name appearing on the list as occupier of allotment and. hotel, Owen street, assessed at £35, whereas James de Hirsck was the occupier and should be assessed. Objection upheld. F. C. Dean objected to Henry Carran's name appearing on the list as occupier of allotment, office and yard, Tararu road, assessed at £20, whereas W. 8.
