The weather was good for the second day's races, and the course in good order. Handicap Hurdle-rTwo miles, over seven flights of hurdles: Tamatea, 1; Wanganui, 2; Express, 3. Hawke's Bay Plate —60 iovs ; two miles: Merlin, 1. Provincial Produce Stakes—6o soys: Hero, 1; Camelia, 2; Hailstorm, 3. Tradesmen's Handicap—loo soys: Seven horses started. Lalla Bookh won it by a length, Lara and Lady Elizabeth second and third. The other races were unimportant. .
