In the House of Commons to day the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in reply to a question, said there was no immediate prospect of. increase in the revenue of Great Britain.
The Secretary of State, on the war, in reply to a question, said he had forwarded the Queen's message expressing confidence, in Lord Chelmsford, without consulting his celleagues.
Bombay, March 18.
The latest news from Burmah states that Mandalay is quiet, and the King assures British residents that he does not anticipate any further disturbances. :
A Burmese envoy has been sent to the Indian Government.
