COUNTY COUNCIL.

The adjourned ordinary meeting of the County Council was held at the Council Chambers, Pollen street, at 10 o'clock. Present—The Chairman, Crs Greetmlle, Carpenter, Porter, Thorburn, Bagnall, Coutts, Deeble, and Brown. ALLOCATION OF TOTES. The Chairman said a committee of the whole of the Council had met, and had agreed on the appropriation of the Gorernment rotes. The allocation was as follows :— OHINEMUBI BIDING. Paeroa bridge, £1000; snagging Waihou, £250; Puke and Normanby Eoad, £200; fencing Native tapus, £150; Te Aroha Eoad, £900; Katikati Koad, £900;

gravelling Paeroa and Mackaytown ttoad, £300; sundries, £300; special vote for making a road from Kiusella's to Waitekauri, £100. PABAWAI BIDING. Eewai's Hill, £350. TOTABA BIDING. Ohinemuri Main Road. — Metalling, £600;, making road Puriri to Hikutaia, £300; fencing tapus, £50; making road beyond Hikutaia, £100; contingencies, £81. HABTINGS BIDING. Making and widening roads, £700. KAUAEBANGA BIDING. Road works in Hill street, £150. I VTATEB BACK TOTB—£6SOO. 2400 feet of pipes, cost of laying, &c, £2107 10s. Tunnel, Waio-Karaka to Waiotahi, £1400; trestle work, Waiotahi, £280; trestle work, Waio Karaka, dam to tunnel and sluice gates, £400; lining tunnels, £550; fencing reservoir, £70; tunnel, Maungakirikiri, £400; maintenance, ditching, survey, miscellaneous, &c, £66214s 6d. Other necessary workß, £229 15s 6d. Total, £6500. Cr Bagnall moved, and Cr Porter seconded, that the Council agree to the recommendations of the report. Carried. PUMPING BECUBITIES The Chairman read a copy of the notices to be sent to the various mining companies mortgaged re the U.P.A. fixing time for payment of accrued interest, etc. Cr Bagnall moved, and Cr Greenville seconded, that the County seal be affixed to the document. The County seal was then affixed, and the documents were signed. This concluded the business.
