Councillor Porter to move—" That the sum of £5,000 be obtained from the Government as an advan j on the Land Fund of Ohinemuri Riding, such sum to be spent in completing the road between Paeroa and the East Coast settlements."
Councillor Porter to move—" To ask for a return showing the total amount of gold duty received by the County from January 1877 to December 1878, and amount spent in pumping and driving on U.P.A/s shaft during same period. Also the amount received by the Council during the years 1877 and '78 out of the sums voted by Parliament to Highway districts, and amount spent ?n each riding during same period." Cc Greenville f.> move—"That this Council do apply to the Hon. Mr Sheehan for permission to appropriat3 £500 of surplus money voted for the Ohinemuri bridge for the puvpo3e of making a road to the Maungakirikiri block."
