WESTPORT.

Saturday.

Constable Marshall, who gave evidence before the Commission of Inquiry into the charge of " habitual intemperance " of the E.M., Mr Chas. Board, is suspended. Some indigation is expressed. He was a new hand here, but well liked and respectd. The evidence has not been made public yet. The whole affair will probably form the subject of a petition to Parliament.
