OUR MINES.
KURAMJI HILL. Tuis mine was visited to day. In the bottom level the lode has been driven on eastward about 45 feet, and in the face there is a good body of quartz. The lode has only been followed a few feet seaward, but appears to die out in that direction. At the point where the reef was first struck it was very much jumbled up and for feet in the drive no gold could be obtained from the prospects. The rise to meet the winze from the level übove is making fair progress, and the manager^xpects to hare communication this week. A considerable portion of the staff from the intermediate level, is now st-nt down by the Shotover shaft. In the intermediate level work is in progress with but little change to notice. The winze is making good headway. The left band lode was struck this morning, and a fair pro-pect was obtained from a test made at the battery. '
