J. L. and G.r Scott of Christchurch i have applied for a patent for a new kind of seed stripper. ' ■
Walter Bullivant has been committed for trial on nine charges of forgery.
The Governor will visit Christchurch on the 12th of February, and hold a farewell levee on the 13th. Prior to his departure he will be presented with an address by the City Council.
A public meeting is to be called io consider the state of distress now existing in Glasgow in consequence of the bank failure.
A most successful trial has been'made with the Harvester Sing Machine. A woman and three children .were thrown but of a trap near Rakaia three days ago. The youngest child has since died.
