Ma BatliDon's plan of the ground proposed to be worked by the Karaka and Tararu Tunnel Company was exhibited in Messrs Frater. Bros.' Offices, Albert street, to-day, and attracted considerable attention. The plan is a very elaborate one, and. shows all the principal reefs likely to be crossed by the tunnel. Young Adcock, who had his fingers cut by his father's sausage machine the other day, had two of the fingers amputated yesterday. A T.O.C. cbicket match will be played at Parawai to-morrow between teams from the Borough and County, commencing at 2 o'clock. The following will probably be the selection:—Borough— Lawless, Whitford, Steedman, Smeaton, Hargreaves, Gray, Maclean, Baxter, Tregonning, Waddington, Paul, and Buttle. County—West, Burgess, SpenI cer, Gudgeon, Carrick, Potts, Murphy, i Lough, Munro, Hudson, Bull, Cameron, Wardell, and Young.
