The Hon. J. Sheehan, the Mayor, and Messrs Brodie, Aitken, Eraser, Eeddell, Gibbons and a number of others reached here at 11 o'clock., Mr Sheehan went to the public hall, which was filled with residents.' He promised if the Judge of the Native Lands Court did not object that next Court would be held at Ohinemuri. He said the Native Department's officers were instructed to purchase the freehold of the goldfield as fast as possible; no delay for money. He said appointment of J.P. would be made. Pereniki te Kokako died this morning, a chief of importance in this place.
