This day.
Charles Mills, who is supposed to come from Canterbury, was arrested at Master* ton for passing a valueless cheque. He represented himself as J. Steel, of Greytown, signing that name. He was remanded till Monday for full particulars regarding all the cheques circulated. Four Lave been already traced.
