Sydney, Friday.
Sir J. Robertson relinquishes the task of forming an administration, owing to the hostility shown by four or five members of Assembly yesternight ,to' the incoming 'Government, and the evident intention to obstruct the vote proposed for the exhibition until the time when the money would be useless for theobject. He fears delay would jeopardise the exhibition, and failure of the same would result in national disgrace. He feels the importance of forming a government ought not to tend towards the same. Sir John Eobertson also resigns his seat in Parliament, and retires from public life.
Melbourne, Friday.
The Government have decided upon offering £1000 for the capture of 'Edward Xelly, and £500 for each of the three others.
The Australian Eleven in their first innings made a total of 198 runs. The Victorians in their second innings have seven wickets down for 147.
