An extensive limestone cave has been discovered near White Cliffs, between Westpbrt and Reefton.! An explorer delscribes it as ' a magnificent' sight when illuminated. A creek traverses the cave, yielding good payable gold prospects. Private information from Lyell says that old Reefton quartz miners are passing the township en route for Wangapeka, where a rich reef has been discovered.
