Friday. Wheat is in demand at 4s 3d to 5s 6d; oats at 4s 3d, firm, with inquiries ; barley much inquired for, no stocks; flour active, the local demand being brisk at 10s to lls; hams and bacon, Bd.; cheese, 6£d to 7d; butter lid, bran and sharps, Is 3d.
To-day the judges commenced their labours on the Agricultural Show grounds
with the sheep, horses and implements. A good many of the general public were admitted on payment of ss. The annual dinner of the society takes place tomorrow evening. His Excellency the Governor will be present. The following horses are advertised for sale on Monday next:— Javelin, Laertes. Danebury, Songster, Mufti, Fiction,Lady of tbe Lake, Atlanta, Peri, Leonidis, Templetoo, Mantana, Titania, Lady Ellen, Sinking Fund, Insolvent, and Camballo.
