Cantebbuey Cup.—Betting: 6 to 4 Fishhook, 6 to 4 Natator, 4 to 1 Templeton, 5 to 1 York and Ariel, 10 to 1 King Quail. Time—4raiu. llsecs. Templeton 1, Fishhook 2, JNatator 3. This was a splendid race from the start, at which all got pretty well away together. York, when opposite the stand, was leading, with the Hook second and Templeton third. These positions were pretty well maintained till passing the stand the first time, all apparently palling. When opposite the stand Templeton came up, and at the turn was neck and neck with Hook, Natator being third. A grand race between Templeton and Hook resulted in Mr Ray's graftd old horse winning by two lengths amidst the most enthusiastic cheering. 350 p.m. . TRADESMEN HANDICAP.
