The ship Lady Jocelyn, from Auckland, arrived at Melbourne on the 22nd.' She experienced very heavy gales. The first general meeting of the Northern Land, Loan and Building Company of Wellington has been held. The report showed that the profits arising from the transactions of the past nine months amount to £2,574, which, after payment of cost of forming the company and all current working expenses, leaves a profit of 13s 3d per share. The directors suggest^ that the capital be increased. The report was agreed to.
