The Speaker read the schedule of business during the session, after which the members repaired to the Legislative Council, where Parliament was formally prorogued by commission to 14th January next. The commission consisted of the Hon. Major Eichmond, Sir Dillon Bell, and the Hon. Colonel Whitmore.
