The- operations on Morrison's leader continue, but the supply of quarts there* from is limited, the country being hard and the leader small* It has also much deteriorated in ralue, and if it shews no improvement with the carrying along of the next stope, work on it will be suspended. The cross-cut at No. 2 lerel to intersect N0.6 lode is now in 74 feet, but in consequence of the hardness of the ground, slow progress is made. The manager thinks, howerer, that this hard bar will not last long. Crushing for the company will be commenced week after next. Davis and party are now engaged driving towards the winze on Gilmour's leader. They have about 43 feet to go, but as the, ground is good working country, they! expect to connect in a fortnight.
