ALBURNIA.
The monthly retorting for the company took place to-day for the yield 22Sozs 17 dwts gold. At the mine there is not much new worthy of report. In the west drive Whau level good progress is being made in pushing on the. drive to connect with the Whau cross-cut, and a connection should be made in about three weeks if the country continues as at present. The manager haß let a contract for stoping on the Sons of Freedom lode at 29s per fathom. The tributers, MoLean and party, have finished their erushiug of 66 loads at the Prince Alfred battery for the yield of 33ozi of gold.
