OHINEMURI RIDING.
Nomination of Candidates,
The nomination of candidates for the County Council took place at the St. George's Schoolroom, Rolleston street, at noon to-day, Captain Fraser, 8.M., Beturning Offioer to the County, receiving the nominations. The following were the candidates proposed :—
John Brown — Nominated by John McCombie and James Marshall.
Oliver Mason Creagh—Nominated by Phillip Bennett and John Mahoney. John Guilding—Nominated by J. M. Coote and D. Snodgrass. John Phillips—Nominated by C. A. Comes and Thos. Logan.
Adam Porter—Nominated by E. M. Corbett and John Quinn. John Kiordan—Nominated by John Mahoney and Gerald O'Halloran. James McGimpsey Bobson —Nominated by Henry I). Johnson and E. M. Corbett. - j Alfred Joshua Thorp—Nominated by C. F. Mitchell and Henry Alley. TOTABA RIDING. L. J. Bagnall—Nominated by Bobert N. Smith and John Browning. HASTINGS BIDING. William Lang Thorburn—Nominated by Thomas Taylor and Henry Carran. PABAWAI BIDING. William Carpenter — Nominated by John Osborne and John Ball. KAUAERANGA BIDING. John Scott—Nominated by Edward Bollerson and John Noble. Scott Hunter—Nominated by Jonathan Byder and John McKee. William Sowerby Greenville—Nominated by E. T. Wildman and John Butt. William Deeble—Nominated by Daniel Sullivan and William McKenzie. WAIOTAHI BIDING. Alexander Brodie—Nominated by Bobt. Comer and Thomas H. Crosbie. James Coutts —Nominated by Charles Fugill and George Horgan. Andrew Hart —Nominated by Charles Giles Hill eid Andrew Burns. Richard Boss—Nominated by Charles Christie and Michael Driscoll. The Beturning Officer declared William Carpenter duly elected for Parawai riding, I L. J. Bagnall fer Totara nding, and W. L. Thorburn for Hastings riding, there, being no other candidates nominated for these ridings. , . '
