NEW PLYMOUTH.
Monday.
Of the 2,600 young trout supplied from Canterbury for here 2200 arrived alive, and of the IGO salmon ordered, only about a dozen were alive. Caberhill, through whom the fish were obtained, superintended placing them in various rivers. Some are in the Henui, Waiwakatho, Mangorana, Waiongono and the Waitara rivers. The fish were very lively and are likely to do well.
