MINING ACCIDENT.

. A trucker named Andrews, employed in the Moanatairi mine, had a narrow escape from death this afternoon. He went up a pass for the purpose" of clearing it, when about a' toi of surface dirt, which had been lying in the pass, fell on him, completely burying him. A man named MoKee happened to be near at the time, and he promptly ran to his help, and managed to drag him out. As it was, Andrews was nearly suffocated, while his shoulder was dislocated by the frll. He was at onoe taken to the Hospital and attended to.
