Upon a division being called for the result was:—Ayes, 32; noes, 29. Progress was therefore reported. ' MODE BILLS. ' ' " The House went into committee on' the Clyde Athecfißum and Public Libraries Bill, Christchurch Boys High School Bill, Onehunga Grammar School Bill, South Otago High School Bill, and Newmarket. Reserves Bill. The Clyde, Christchurch and Newmarket bills were passed ; The other two were reported to the House with progress having been made and having given leave to sit again granted. The Goldmining Districts Act, 1873, Amendment Bill was read a second time and ordered to be referred to the Goldfields Committee. The House then went into committee, oa the following bills:—Norsewood Mechanics' Institution Bill, Wanganui High School Bill, Wangarei High School Bill, Foxton Reserves Bill, Auckland Girls' High School Bill, Church Trust Property at Little River Exchange Bill, which were reported to the House with amendment! and passed; The House than adjourned.
