MR HILLMAN'S GRIEVANCE.

(To the Editor of the Evening Star.)

Sib, — You kindlj inserted a letter from me a few days ago headed " The Unemployed and the Harbor Board," and I see that at the last meetjing of the Borough Council my grievance was brought up, and the Foreman 'of Works was heard in explanation; which was considered satisfactory. Now, had I known that my case would hare been brought forward, I should have been there to justify myself; but I cannot learn what was said against me, nor what was Mr Rawdon's explanation. Now, I iknow for a certainty that Mr Rawdon and Mr Dean both, have a spite against me, and I cannot rest knowing that one of them is holding me, whilst the other is putting, his heel on my neck; and I think if Mr Dean would mind his own business as Town Clerk, and not oaf %so many irons in the fire, it would be much better for himself and others, for three-parts of the disturbances in the Council have been caused by him. He has got his own bread buttered and sugared on both sides, and seems to grudge a little bit of dripping to - Yours obediently, x Calvin Luthei Hillmak. Shortland, Oct. 16th. f
